Tetsuya Ishida’s Paintings Show the Darkest Side

It’s hard to use a word to describe the paintings of Tetsuya Ishida. We cannot simply make a conclusion that we like it or we hate it. Because his painting is beyond our customary thought and understanding and it reveals the darkest and most negative corner of human’s mind. It reveals so vividly that make us feel kind of restless. The content of his painting is mainly about young men who are used to products for daily use such as plastic bag, steam locomotive and pedestal pan. However, it’s a pity that his paintings become widely known by us after he dies.
